Christmas madness is upon us and I’ve been catalog shopping today at Patty’s house - forget the long lines when you can get everything you could possibly want via mail order! Consider, what do you get the kid who has everything but a drivers license? Try this very cool Willy’s Jeep replica from FAO Schwarz. For only $9,900, you can have your own gas powered Willy’s Jeep replica, suitable for children - really. It comes complete with working headlights, brake lights, canvas top, spare tire, roll bar and extra break pedal for parents who are a little freaked out by their kids driving. It’s done in 2/3 scale and also is available in “Desert Sand”. Perhaps I’ll sell the real Jeep Wrangler, throw in $1,000 and buy one of these. Power Wheels, eat your heart out.

We’re in West Dundee, IL with Patty for the holiday this year. The kids started the day with a little time playing Nintendo while Patty and Gretchen make lunch. The Turkey is over at our old house cooking away so we’ve got space for Ham and all the sides here. Chris and JP are supposed to join us later today for the big meal.
Misc
Monday, September 4th, 2006I survived another two Chicago Autocross events. I finished poorly overall in both, but am starting to feel like I know the car. Chris had an alignment put on the car based on someone else’s recommendations (who is currently running first in our class in the same type of car) and after wearing the tires into the setup, the car felt good. I forgot the camera and so there’s no pictures of the event at all. I’ll see if I can find some online. Gretchen, Oskar and Xavier survived the two day event with some help from Patty. It’s looking to be a rainy Labor Day weekend here. We were hoping to go to Geneva today, so perhaps the rain will stop mid morning and we can enjoy the rest of the day.
Wrapping Up Christmas Holiday
Friday, December 30th, 2005Xavier has been changing by leaps and bounds, among the most recent change is his ability to wave goodbye to people he loves. He also crawls quite well now, moving to where he wants, when he wants. Occassionally, he will pull himself up to a standing position, although usually only to get his hands on small toys to put in his mouth. Christmas at Patty’s house was fun especially for the kids. Xavier is still working on his presents but has loved (and eaten) pretty much every piece of wrapping paper he can get his hands on. Erik and Pammy head back today. Rachel left this morning (with a wave from Xavier) and Chris and Steve left earlier this week. We took the boys down to the Chicago Children’s Museum earlier this week and the kids had a great time.
