I stumbled onto this one from a Photojojo article today. The site MagMyPic has a number of photo magazines they’ve cropped out that you can insert your photos into. I figured I’d check it out and found they had a link to post it directly to Facebook – only to find out they wanted me to add the application (probably followed by some invites and so on) so I decided to grab the photo and let everyone just see the result here instead. The idea is cute even if their viral marketing is draconian. It reminds me of the Photo Cutout Tool developed by Cate Sia at NWF many moons ago (2004). Apparently NWF was ahead of their time – they should bring it back. Oskar was in the training video – although he probably didn’t realized it at the time.

Just prior to my trip to Virginia last week he had been getting up twice and it ended as a full on cold which he seems to be recovering from now. He would be up for two to three hours a night. The trip was a calamity of errors for me. I left Dundee at just before 4am for my 6am flight, arrived at O’Hare and sat down in my plane all on schedule. We then proceeded to sit on the plane (at the gate) for 2 1/2 hours while we waited for some particularly nasty thunderstorms. Ultimately, instead of getting to NWF by 9:30am, I got there at 12:30pm! Then as I checked into my hotel room, there was already someone staying there! The hotel didn’t want to believe me at first but finally saw it my way and gave me a new room. fortunately the meeting I was attending wasn’t as exciting! Oskar was sad yesterday that he didn’t get to ride the bus for two days and really wants to go to school today, alas, he’ll have to settle for church.
