Starting this fall, Gretchen will resume teaching at Rainbow School here in Rochester. This is exciting for two reasons, 1. She’ll be able to get back to work and 2. Xavier will be attending there as well! She’s still working through her Montessori course work and will be finishing that up right around the time school goes back into session.

Gretchen Hired
Tuesday, March 18th, 2008Back from the East, Starting School
Thursday, August 10th, 2006We’re back from our one month excursion to Virginia and North Carolina. We’ve gotten out from under the pile of mail (mostly) and e-mail (hardly) and are getting ready to start our fall grove. Just before leaving Illinois, Oskar cut his hair. With this accomplishment he also learned to swing without being pushed! He also attended orientation at his new school yesterday and met his teacher Mrs. Y. Xavier has become quite the expressive character as of late as he continues to expand in size. He walks (almost runs) and amazes us with his comprehension every day. We’re patiently awaiting his first words, but he clearly communicates with grunts, pointing and some sign language. Oskar is excited to start school in two weeks and looking forward to bringing home the Friday Folder, something that Dundee Highlands sends home with every student on Friday with their work from the week.
Christmas Letter and Update
Wednesday, January 18th, 2006Finally got our Christmas Letter out this week! For those of you who don’t have one in the next week or so, drop an e-mail me and I will add you to my address book. I either didn’t have a complete address or I don’t have an address at all. My e-mail is on the homepage, so no excuses why you don’t send me a message. In other news, Oskar has become quite the Mario Sunshine player (Nintendo Gamecube) and is slowly learning the ins and outs of Grand Turismo 4 (Sony Playstation). Gretchen is finishing up her Greening the Congregation class at LSTC and I’m getting ready to start building out the technical aspects of the Servant Trips website for the NJ Synod.
